Circular RNA (circRNA) is a novel member of the non-coding genome with distinct properties and diverse cellular functions, which are being explored at a steadily increasing pace. However, the study of these molecules is far from trivial and the use of enzymes, such as reverse transcriptases and DNA polymerases, may bias circRNA quantification. Within this webinar, I will give a brief introduction to the circular RNA research field and present data using the enzyme-free nCounter® technology from NanoString® for accurate circRNA quantification in research projects related to cancer.
