Manager, Marketing Communications
Job Description:
NanoStringTM Technologies seeks an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to manage the promotion of the nCounter Analysis System and related scientific products. This person is responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing integrated and effective communications programs. Major focus is translation of the marketing plans into executable Marcom strategies, coordinating cross-functional teams for the production of collateral and web content, managing vendor relationships, and analyzing ROI for campaigns. This role actively drives campaign planning and manages the budget to fund the final programs, creates/manages the schedule and implementation of those programs and partners regularly with product marketing and technical staff within the company. Specific programs to be developed and implemented include advertisements, press relations materials, newsletters, direct marketing, product introductions, sales collateral (data sheets, brochures, flyers), web content, event planning, etc.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a life sciences discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years in marketing communications role
- Direct experience in promoting life science products
- Strong knowledge of online advertising and social media outlets
- Strong leadership, management and teamwork skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to executive management, customers, sales people, and partners
Additional qualifications include:
- Experience with promoting instrument systems, reagents and software
- Global marketing experience preferred
